Every project we complete is built with craftsmanship, integrity, and intention. These photos showcase the work we’re proud to stand behind—spaces designed to last, serve, and bring families together. We invite you to explore some of the projects that reflect our commitment to excellence and purpose-driven carpentry.
The Craft Room is a custom-built workspace designed for organization, creativity, and efficiency. This project features wall-to-wall custom built-in shelving, long durable Formica work surfaces, and integrated storage tailored specifically for crafting and hobby use. By maximizing usable wall space and keeping everything accessible, these built-ins create a clean, functional layout without sacrificing style.
This project was a joy to bring to life. A young family wanted to make the most of their kitchen nook, so we began by building custom bench-style seating with removable panels that offer excellent hidden storage. From there, we had the privilege of crafting a custom white oak table designed to fit the space perfectly. Once the cushions were added, the nook transformed into a cozy, inviting place ready for meals, conversations, and memories to be made!
For this project, we replaced an aging deck with a new composite Trex system. The multi-level layout and irregular angles made for a challenging build—especially in the summer heat—but the homeowners were wonderful to work with and excited to see the transformation take shape. Their new deck is now protected under Trex’s trusted warranty, and as a registered TrexPro installer, we’re glad to give them confidence that their outdoor space is built to last.
A well-designed closet can change the way a home feels. For this project, we built a custom system that brings structure and simplicity to the space—complete with hanging areas, shelving, drawers, and a dedicated shoe tower. Everything now has a place, helping the homeowners start and end their day with a little more peace and a lot less clutter.
Jesus teaches us in Matthew 7:13 to "Enter by the narrow gate." But for this homeowner's privacy fence, the narrow gate was too narrow for his mower. At Cross & Crown Carpentry, we will always be happy to walk with our brothers and sisters in Christ and help as many as we can to enter through the narrow gate that is Christ. But we will make exceptions for lawn mowers. Featured here are three gates that we built on back to back days.
This portico had seen better days—years of moisture had taken a toll on the original wood, leaving the columns soft, unstable, and unsightly. We rebuilt the entire assembly using long-lasting PVC materials that resist rot and weathering, ensuring the homeowners won’t face the same issues again. The finished result is a sturdy, low-maintenance entrance that brings new life and curb appeal to the home.
This porch and stair rebuild was a great opportunity to help a homeowner restore both the safety and curb appeal of their front entry. The original steps and railings had reached the end of their lifespan, so we removed the failing structure and replaced it with a brand-new pressure-treated stair system and custom railings. The new build is stronger, safer, and designed to weather the Middle Tennessee climate for years to come.
This project was one of our very first Trex decks—and one of our earliest builds as a company. The homeowners were incredibly supportive and wonderful to work with, making it a great experience from start to finish. We’re grateful for the trust they placed in us as we learned, grew, and delivered a durable, low-maintenance outdoor space built to last.
James 1:12 "Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him."
